OUR MISSION

Primitive Fit builds healthier, safer communities by empowering youth with preventive wellness programs rooted in fitness, sports, self-defense and mentorship. We tackle chronic disease, violence, mental health crises, and rising healthcare costs to create a resilient society that benefits everyone.

  • Primitive Fit is a Community Health Initiative that integrates Preventative Health & Blue Zone Principles into the foundations of our community to help combat the most far reaching problem we face as a society —the massive public health and wellness crisis.

    Program Goals:

    • Drastically improve public health outcomes -We aim to help reduce chronic disease, improve physical and mental health, and resiliency with maximum, long term impact.

    • Parental & family aid -Giving kids a place to grow during the critical hours from 3-6pm when youth are off school, parents are still working and could use need much needed support.

    • Save taxpayer dollars by relieving long term burden on the public infrastructure - By improving the physical and mental health through our program, we can help lessen reliance on public healthcare, reduce violence, crime and lower taxpayer burden.

    • Help build communities from the inside-out - Giving our youth purpose, learning respect and tradition from our elders, fostering social connection, staying healthy, building resilience and learning to live simply.

  • Using preventative health and the blue zone principles.

“Blue Zones” refers to regions where people live significantly longer, often reaching 100+ years with remarkable health & vitality. Based on extensive research, their longevity is tied to shared values & behaviors that contribute to physical, mental, & social well-being. Our Community Health Initiative is built on these principles:

    • Arming people with purpose

    • Learning respect and tradition from our Elders

    • Fostering social connection

    • Staying healthy and strong

    • Building resilience

    • Learning to live simply

Buettner, D. (2008). The blue zones: Lessons for living longer from the people who've lived the longest.

  • To address the public health crisis, we have programmed the above principles into an afterschool program —through old and ancestral ways to wellness by integrating fitness, sport, self-defense and mentorship.

“Exercise is by far the most potent longevity “Drug”. No other intervention does nearly as much to prolong our lifespan and preserve our cognitive and physical function”
